Internet Radio Hawaii- RA 2.0 Trouble Page

We're Hawai`i's RealAudio 1.0 & 2.0 Partner Site!

Today, on January 7th, I upped the memory allotment on my RealAudio Player to about five megs...the more memory you give the player, the better it seems to perform..try it if ya have the extra ram...I think you'll be pleased.

On Jan 2, 1996, Steve Mack from Progressive Networks and I, discovered a bug in the Macintosh RealAudio 2.0 Player.
Symptoms were: player opening and then remaining closed. When you pressed the Play Button, all it did was play the last file you played, regardless of what soundfile link you might have just pressed. The Fix appears to be for webmeisters like myself to add a carriage return to the end of our ram files.

I have just done so and (crossing fingers) this problem should have disappeared from this site, however....as they say:"s**t happens"...and if you experience any more problems with this site, please write me.

Dear Rabbett

If you experience this problem elsewhere, the "immediate fix" for you is to hold your shift key down while you press an RA ram file link somewhere and you will then download the ram file itself (for example: pnm://www.joes.com/joesound/whoopie.ra).

Open a text editor to see the ram file and copy and paste it into your RealAudio Player's Open URL field.

If all else fails tell any other webmeisters who's site exhibits such symptoms to write me or Steve Mack Dear Steve

We'll help them straighten out any more buggies.

Mahalo Nui Loa
(Thanks)
Rabbett;)
