As good as it is, Quicktime is not the only delivery system for 360 degree panoramas and objects. Once the imagery is produced, several delivery technologies can be utilized.

Java VR's offer less features and smaller images but are compatible with most new Java capable browsers.

Warning: These work best with a 4.x.x browser. Here are some examples of Java VR's, many with images you'll recognize from the Quicktime VR's shown on this disk already.

Java VR's may be best suited as enticements for your web visitors to see the possibilities, then be directed to download Quicktime from Apple Computer's Web Site for free.

You can also utilize animated gif technology to show products. We've demonstrated this ability throughout our Products demos.

We can also serve up your panoramas using Real VR technology, IBM's Panoramix technology and others, although none of these technologies are as prevalent or as photographically realistic as Quicktime technology.

The following example takes you to the moment of a global synchronized shoot as it occurred during the Summer Solstice of 1998. The VR was shot on the Jetty in Waikiki just as 141 other Panographers around the world all shot panoramas as well. You'll hear the ocean roar and the click of my camera as I shot 16 photographs which were used to create the panorama.
