This is my wife and son on the outer deck of the car ferry Silja Festival departing Värtahamnen, Stockholm, Sweden at 20.00 local time. The ferry will arrive in Turku, Finland the following morning at 07.00. We have our cabin on the 9th deck. After the usual smörgåsbord we will go to bed and be well rested for a three hour trip by car to my parent's place where we will celebrate Christmas.
Across the harbour is the house of the famous Swedish sculptor Carl Milles. His home is now a museum.
A sign to the left of the three green life vest stickers on the deck directs to the "Panorama Bar" (!). Unfortunately, the sign is illegible at the resolution of this panorama.
