The following pages are a collection of color video stills taken by your webmaster in the early stages of the H4 project. At the time a lot of these were taken, the H4 was simply a dial in Telefinder BBS. The project began in earnest when I put the board up on an old SE/30 in August of 1994. We started with one line and I promoted the BBS on the Internet through various newsgroups. I wanted to see if there was any interest in an electronic Hawai`i outreach and to my amazement we began to get calls from the mainland, Europe and as far away as Australia.

The Video still format has it's limitations but, I was able to use it to adequately begin documenting the Local Folk's Hawai`i.
It is also a great camera to use when I want to provide "instant" additions to the web.

You may see some shots in this section that also appear in our picture pages...I do intend to weed the dupes out but, for right now, as I build the section, it is easier to just keep churning and building pages.
I warn you that some of the shots in these pages may leave much to be desired technically but, when I shut down the BBS after a year on the Internet, so I could expand the web, I saved these rather than tossing them, figuring they might be fun for many of you to look at.

Again, please pardon the quality of some of these...we pushed the limits of the format in some instances but, I still think there is a value in preserving them and presenting them to you.

You may also find an occassional film based photo mixed in...

I still have the Xapshot and still use it sometimes, so this section may grow in spurts at various times.
