To all of the volunteers who helped with the Adopt-a-Stream Cleanup on November 18 - a big thankyou. The cleanup was a big success. Several people from the community, including Weinberg Village residents, came out to help. Thanks to the young boys who helped to pull up bagfulls of litter from the streambank. A special thanks to Bernie for rewarding us with homemade brownies.

Anyone who wishes to volunteer in future clean-up efforts, our 1996 schedule for cleanups along Kahawai Stream are: February 17th, May 18th, August 17th and November 16th. For more information, contact the Waimanalo Watershed Council at 259-7195.
