A public meeting is scheduled for March 16, at the Waimanalo Library, to give the community an opportunity to learn more about the Waimanalo Facilities Plan and the Environmental Impact Statement commissioned by the City Department of Wastewater Management. The study and EIS will exam the wastewater needs of the community for the next twenty years.

At an earlier meeting held at the Waimanalo Library on December 12, 1995, Felix Limtiago, Department Head of the Department of Wastewater Management said the plan would look at all options available, not just sewers. The Facilities Plan will also include: An Infiltration and Inflow Study, A Spill Reduction Action Plan and a Septic Channeling Facility Plan.
