Gene Scriven, ex of Hawai`i, now from somewhere on the U.S. Mainland suggested this addition to Hawai`i's H4...here's how it all began.
Hi:
I was in Hawaii from '71-'74 - married a local girl and developed an enduring love for Hawaiian music and culture. I still have all my Gabby Pahinui/Hui Ohana/Sunday Manoa etc records and like to update whenever I can. We get back about every 2-3 years. I just discovered the Hawaii Home Page H4 and am still trying (not with much success) to download some of the RealAudio music files.
I'd like to know if Dr Bob Teichman from the hospital on Kauai is WWW connected?

Any graduates from ' 69 out there? Boy are we old.
Anyone out there who knows JASON THOMPSON, please tell him I am looking for
him. We have lost contact. (Last seen in Lahaina (Crab Catcher) or maybe the
Big Island.)
Also would like to talk with MONA EDWARDS and KARINA. It's been too long. I
miss you guys.
Hugs and kisses to Johnnie T., and to Chris Malloy!
Please e-mail any info to Jennifer Dulmage at jdulmage@monty.com.
ALOHA!
I'd like to contact Donald or Ronald Kogachi or Paul Yanagi. They lived
on Ahuimanu Road in Kahaluu and their folks still do I believe. I
attended King Intermediate for 7th and 8th grades (1969-70) then moved to
Hickam AFB and attended Radford High for 9th and 10th grades. If he's
out there in radio land I'd like to contact my old communications teacher
Pat Dickson (Radford HS 1969-70+) I never went into radio but became a
cop instead.
Great web page. It seems like FOREVER since I was in the islands
(1969-72) but I'd like to say HI to all my old classmates at King
Intermediate and Radford HS (9th and 10th grades, 1971-72)
Hi to Checkers and Pogo
Pat Dickson and KRHS radio (Radford HS)
Things I remember...
Going to the beach on New Years Day
Homeroom on the bleachers (Jim Alegre's)
Trumpeters blowing the flag raising
Standing room only on the busses each day
Al Michaels calling Islander games
Roads blocked off for Hawaii Five-O
Sunday night wrestling with Ripper Collins
Falling back into the "pidgin english" when I got with the "bros" in
Kahaluu.
Watching the sun rise from the beach in Kailua on Boy Scout camps and the
25 mile hike from Camp Pupukea to Wainae (sorry for the spelling...it HAS
been a long time)
Aloha,

TANX BRUDDAH!
Yeeha! Here I sit in SW Florida Fort Myers to be precise, pining away
after seeing the Lanikai Elementary page and their great photos of where
I used to swim out to the reef my last year in Hawaii. I've tried to
call several lost friends and thought this would work better. Any one
from Mid Pacific Institute who taught/teaches there (my tenure was from
1983-85) I'd love to hear from, Mel Yano, Yas Yorita, Allyson (Ko)
Reed, Jerry Fornelia, Terri Wright, and any one else - are any of you
out there? Also any graduates of the Art school of UH from '83- I was a
graduate of Fibers and Textiles, am now teaching ceramics and jewelry at
a local high school called Mariner (2,000+- kids) and have just
finished my masters in Education in Instructional Technology. There are
some great offshore islands here on the Gulf of Mexico, really beautiful
but it just doesn't compare. Also wondering about, Alan Kam, Paige
(Browning) Winkler, Bart Potter, Mel Ako, June and Paul Cleghorn, Sandy
Eng ? aloha- jerri burns.
