The Washington Avenue Bridge spans the Mississippi River between the East and West Campuses of the University of Minnesota. This busy pedestrian walkway teems with foot and pedal traffic even on blustry days. Students, faculty, staff and visitors utilize it as a convenient crossing over the Mighty Mississippi. The bridge terminates above the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum on the East Bank, and the Law School and Business School on the West. The source of the Mississippi River is in Northern Minnesota. Here the river has cut a gorge 120 feet deep.

Technical Info: Nikon F3. 24 mm Lens. Kodak Ektachrome 100SW at 1/60 sec. PhotoCD. 12-shot pano.
