Get up slooowww-scratch my head-smell the coffee. "Oh yeah, it's Wrinkle day". Mind starts to reeling-OK, run the checklist. Lots of film (Agfa 400 ISO daylight). Blow out the dust from the inside of my trusty old SP1000 Pentax-looks pretty good for an old dinosaur. Wipe the lens down (28mm Soligor), "Eeew!! Where the heck did that smear come from? Looks like a slug crawled across it"-glad I checked that. Hama plastic tripod-OK. Kaidan QPU-2 pan head-check. Fancy little flash mount spirit level-check. Sony recording walkman (for sound clip)-check. Clean underwear in case I get hit by a truck-check. I'm Wrinklin!

Oh yeah, the coffee. One hour from shoot time-Oh boy, look at that sky. God's playing favourites. Beautiful morning for a drive into town. Look at that, a parking spot within two blocks of the harbor-Alright!! Always wanted to shoot from the same spot at different times of day. Mother nature changes as the day goes on. What a spot. I'm standin on the corner of Government and Belleville Street. Oh yeah, I'm wrinklin-only 20 minutes to shoot time. Guess I should have had that second cup of coffee. Scan the area-I'm funny that way. Lookin good. Set up the camera and set the exposure. Levelling, levelling-looking good. Stop that lens down-need maximum depth of field-OK, better slow that shutter down-how's the movement-not much movement-I'm set. Ten minutes to shoot time. Sun's still shining, sky's got nice sparse cloud cover-perfect. May have to start and watch that cloud over there-it's comin my way. As long as it's not in front of the sun at 11.

Just a few people around-lots of room-just a bit of traffic. Things are shaping up. "What't this-about twenty kids with flaming red shirts are getting out of that bus and heading straight for me. Oh no!! Yup-now they're all around me now." Suddenly traffic is coming from every direction-Oh no. I got the Wrinkle Blues.... 11am-click, click, click...Wrinkle II, first shoot-brought to you in living colour. My Wrinkle blues just turned red.

PS. Many sincere thanks to John Yanyshyn of Visions West in Victoria for the emergency scanning session of all my negs for this project. What a guy. Thanks John, you da man.
