This scene is in the Connick Creek streambed that feeds into Lower Bull Creek, Humboldt Redwoods State Park, in Northern California. This park protects the largest ancient redwood groves in the world. I have never seen so many incredibly large redwoods in my life. Mile after mile of them line Bull Creek and the Eel River.
Numerous different types of ferns were hanging down from the streambanks, and the sun decided to break through the morning overcast at this moment. Just upstream from here a small waterfall was making lots of noise, but the sound here is from the stream.
