Pano Title: Winery Workers
Location: Philo, California, USA
Size of movie window: 400 wide, 240 tall

At 2:00 pm Pacific time on March 20, workers were busy pruning new plantings at Navarro Vineyards, an award-winning winery located in Northern California's beautiful Mendocino County.

Navarro's Ted Bennett took me on a 30-minute, white-knuckle, four-wheeling drive over El Nino-damaged farm roads to this site, which at an elevation of roughly 1200 feet, overlooks the beautiful Anderson Valley. The climate here is cooled somewhat by the Pacific Ocean, 18 miles to the west. Its unique climate makes the Anderson Valley particularly well suited to cool-climate grape varieties.

I took this panorama with a Kodak DC-40 digital camera mounted on a Kaidan mount. Images were stitched with Apple's QuickTime VR Authoring Studio and retouched and optimized using Adobe Photoshop.

Many thanks to Ted Bennett and Deborah Cahn for permission to photograph their spectacular part of the world -- and for their superb wines, which are generally not available in stores, but are available online at www.navarrowine.com.
